Finding Design, Making Design.

Loucas Louca FOUNDiiD Designer Profile

Design

Loucas Louca is a Greek Cypriot designer, with a mission to design functional and inspiring spaces and objects.  Before finding design, Loucas spent time in teaching and medicine but fell in love with design when gaining a role with the world famous floristry design company McQueens. He studied at Birkbeck College, then design at The Chelsea School of Art and Design and St. Martins. His experience includes working for prestigious design stores and agencies such as McQueens, Wells Palmer, Plain English Kitchens, Skandium and  Knoll International. His Cypriot heritage in many ways defines his design work; FOUNDiiD’s series of New Heritage crafted objects emerges from Loucas’ respect and love for the architecture and modernity of post-independent Cyprus.  “Feel free to take risks, but be aware of the rules” is one of Loucas’s working maxims.
